Police Sunday afternoon arrested Forum for Democratic Change presidential candidate Patrick Amuriat in Mpigi town.
He was rushed to Mpigi Central Police Station and detained.
Before his arrest in Mpigi town Council, Amuriat interacted with the People of Bunjako Landing Site, Buwama Rural Sub County Mpigi District.
He cited rampant land evictions allegedly aided by the first family.
He promised to return people’s land once elected into power on 14th January 2021.
The party said by 7pm, police had not yet come up clear on why they have arrested Amuriat.
For all this campaign period their intension has always been to stop him from reaching the population.
Arrested 10 times during the campaigns, the villager is still in the coolers of Mpigi Central police station.
“Ours is a struggle against a dictator that has tormented Ugandans for the last 35 years,” the party noted.
