Patriq Kanyomozi has been re-elected as Uganda Sports Press Association (USPA) President.
“This is my second and final term, each term is 2 years as per our constitution and I’ll never tamper with it,” he said.
This was during the association’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) Saturday November 28, 2020 at Lugogo MTN Arena.
Leon Solomon was elected USPA vice president.
Together they unveiled of the new USPA logo ahead of the 50-year celebrations due 2020.
“It’s been a difficult year for all of us. We are grateful we managed to do some activities early in the year,” Kanyomozi said.
He said members have accessed scholarships to study french and we are working on many more education opportunities.
The gala was a success despite the limitations.
“We are pleased that this was achieved this year.”
He went on: “After 50 years of USPA, we definitely need a permanent home. In the midterm, we could move to Lugogo.”
He said in the new year, they want to increase the opportunities for members, improve visibility and grow their sacco.
