Pitiful images of journalists sleeping in the cold at Migyera in Nakasongola district have shaken Ugandans.
This was after police blocked Bobi Wine on Thursday night citing the night curfew regulations.
The National Unity Platform candidate Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine also spent the night in his car.
Bobi Wine and his team were traveling to Kyankwanzi via Hoima but the road was blocked by police which said it is under construction.
He decided to instead spend the night in Migyera but the police under DPC Patience Namara and the OC, Byaruhanga ordered all hotels not to host his team.
The journalists on his campaign trail either slept in cars or outside in the cold.
“Uncomfortable night for all of us but well, we promised me to be there with him, everywhere, “always”,” said NBS journalist Daniel Lutaaya who is on Kyagulanyi’s campaign trail.
NBS photojournalist Thomas Kitimbo captured pictures of journalists sleeping out in the cold at Migyera, where police blocked Bobi Wine citing the night curfew regulations.
Reports suggest that all accommodation facilities in the area were ordered not to host the presidential candidate and his team.
