Heavily armed military personnel have surrounded a hotel in which National Unity Platform [NUP] presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine is resting.

“In Hoima, after the military and police blocked us, they trailed us up to the hotel at which we plan to spend the night,” Bobi Wine said on Wednesday night.

He said some are moving in a numberless military van.

“Some operatives are non-uniformed yet armed.”

“They’ve assaulted journalists and chased them away from the hotel. We’re under siege!” he added.

They had earlier teargased his supporters at Kyentare grounds in Hoima town, blocking his rally.

They also did the same in Kibaale district where soldiers blocked the roads and prevented him from proceeding to the venue.
