Equal Opportunities Commission Chairperson Sylvia Ntambi Muwebwa has been committed to High Court for trial.

Ntambi returned to court on Tuesday weeks after being released from Kigo prison.

The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Jane Frances Abodo said investigations into the matter were complete.

Abodo assured court that they are ready to present evidence against Ntambi and nine other former workers of the commission.

Grade One Magistrate Moses Nabende early this month charged and sent Ntambi on remand.

Ntambi and nine employees of the commission face 25 counts of causing financial loss, conspiracy to defraud, embezzlement, corruption, and abuse of office.
