Police has closed off the venue that National Unity Platform candidate Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine was supposed to use for his rally.
“This morning we are scheduled to be in Kyegegwa district,” Bobi Wine said on Monday.
“The police arrested several of our team members throughout the night.”
The Military and Police led by the OC of Kyegegwa raided AMAC Suites Hotel and arrested members of Bobi Wine’s Presidential Campaign Advance Team on Sunday.
The team had travelled there to organize for his campaign rally.
Those arrested are; Akandonda Warren, Jacob Mwesigwa, Abbey Mutebi and Hassan.
“This morning, they have cancelled the venue which we should address our people from, and are asking us to look for another venue!” Bobi announced.
By the time of posting this story, Bobi Wine’s convoy had entered the town.
