Ethiopian long-distance runner Letesenbet Gidey has smashed the 5000m world record in Valencia.
Letesenbet Gidey has just run 14:06.65 to break the women’s world record for the 5,000m.
The current time of 14 minutes 11.15 seconds is held by Gidey’s compatriot, three-time Olympic champion Tirunesh Dibaba.
