Speaker Rebecca Kadaga has promised to issue a statement on the absence of ministers from the House.
“We have been accused in some fora and yet it is the ministers who don’t attend to business here,” she said during Thursday plenary.
Kadaga has tasked the government chief whip to “also whip the ministers”.
Several issues like adherence to Covid19 guidelines, compensation for Joseph Kibwetere inferno victims have not been discussed as the ministers are absent Hon.
“Honourable members, I want to put it on record that so far, eight items on the order paper have not been handled because the ministers are not available,” Kadaga said.
“I want to place it on record that eight items on the Order Paper have not been handled because of the absence of ministers in the House.”
