It’s Jacob Kiplimo again!

Uganda‚Äôs golden boy has won the men’s 3000m at Diamond League in Rome, Italy.

His 7.26.64 is a national record for Uganda, World lead and Diamond League record.

It is also the fastest time since 2007!

He beat Jakob Ingebrigtsen who ran 7:27.05, the ninth in history at the Stadio Olympico in Rome.

 Stewart McSweyn ran 7:28.02 to smash Craig Mottram’s Australian record.

Nine days ago, the 19-year old Ugandan marathoner came first in the 5000m at the Golden Spike Meet in Ostrava, Czech Republic.
