Malwa, pork seller wins Budaka LCV NRM flag

Pajje Emmanuel who sells malwa and pork is the winner of the Budaka District LC V NRM flag.

He convincingly beat incumbent Samuel Mulomi in the last Friday NRM election.

His popular joint is named ‘Parliament Pub’.

Pajje garnered 24,198 votes representing 31% against Mulomi’s 14,357 votes representing 19%.

When Budaka NRM District registrar, Joseph Eric Kivunike, declared Pajje winner, thunderous jubilations gripped the area and rung through the night.

Other contenders included; Budaka County MP and councilor Kakule sub-county Nicholas Davis Gole who got 17,439 votes representing 23%, Amisi Magona 11,747 representing 15%, Samuel Mubalya, 3,862 votes representing 5% former speaker Abdu Mugoda 4,847 representing 6%, and Kefa Nayepe, Mugiti sub-county Councillor trailed with 455 votes representing 1%.

Both shocked and bamboozled, Mulomi contested the outcome saying the elections were not free and fair.
