Presidential aspirant Lt Gen Henry Tumukunde has formally announced the leadership team of the “Renewed Uganda” platform.
“Our objective remains the realisation of a peaceful transition in Uganda,” he said on Monday.
He was addressing a press conference at Renewed Uganda headquarters in Kololo, Kampala.
Among them is Omar Kalinge-Nnyago who will serve as national chairperson and MP Annet Nyaketcho who will serve as the deputy national chairperson.
Tumukunde announced that he will be embarking on countrywide consultations as required of all aspirants.
His first consultation meeting was in Buikwe last week but was cut short when police arrested him.
He is expected to appear at CID headquarters in Kibuli Tuesday.
