Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga on Monday addressed the media on the prevailing security situation.
He said taxi operators in border districts where the ban on public transport is still maintained are disgruntled over lack of business.
The COVID19 taskforce and other stakeholders should continue to sensitise the aggrieved group to remain calm as government plans to address their concerns.
Meanwhile, he noted the aggravated robbery of cash from Indian nationals in Goma Division Mukono Municipality.
This happened on 18/07/2020, at around 07000 hours, along Kiwanga – Sonde road, at Lwanda Cell, Nantabulirwa Ward, Goma Division in Mukono Municipality.
An Indian national one Premji Gopal Pindoria, an accountant with Harree Construction Company, while in company of Vizay Khetanji travelling in motor vehicle UBE 978A Toyota Wish were intercepted by four thugs travelling in motor vehicle reg. no. UAR 998F Toyota Wish.
The case was reported at Seeta Police Station.
Enanga said no arrest made and efforts are ongoing by Crime Intelligence and other Security Agencies to trace for the culprits for apprehension.
