Anti-Corruption Court Division in Kampala has summoned Leone Island singer Jose Chameleone for alleged possession of an uncustomed vehicle
The Land Cruiser SSD 449B was gifted to Chameleone by South Sudan businesswoman Achai Wiir.
In his summons dated Tuesday July 7 and signed by Chief Magistrate, Pamella Lakunu Ocaya, directed Chameleone to appear before Court on July 30 2020 at 9am to explain charges related to flouting tax systems.
According to Uganda Revenue Authority, Chameleone failed to pay an estimated Shs100m in taxes for a high-end car, registration number SSD 499B Land Cruiser V8 model GRJ 200.
