Former Security minister Lt Gen Henry Tumukunde has been granted bail subject to conditions set out by court.
The applicant and sureties shall each execute bond Shs50m not cash and applicant shall deposit his passport with the Court.
Applicant shall report to Court once a month as directed by Court.
Tumukunde has been on remand at Luzira prison since March this year.
In his Monday ruling,
Justice Kwesiga of the High Court approved Tumukunde’s bail after he presented substantial sureties.
They included his wife, Stella Tumukunde, his brother Hannington Karuhanga and family friend Matthew Rukikaire.
The General who expressed desire to run for presidency was arrested for treason and unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition.
