National Water and Sewerage Corporation [NWSC] has warned of water supply interruptions due to countrywide power outages.
“Dear customers, we are experiencing a countrywide power outage,” the corporation said on Saturday.
It said this has affected operations at Ggaba water works in Kampala and other water production plants across the country.
The teams at UMEME and UETCL are working tirelessly to address the power challenge in the shortest time possible.
“Please use the available water sparingly as it takes time for the systems to stabilize after a total plant shutdown,” NWSC advised customers.
“All inconveniences are highly regretted.”
Power distributor Umeme said the outages will go on for three days starting Saturday from 9am to 5pm every day as they do tests on three power dams.
