Kenyan truck driver rises Uganda cases to 89

Today, 3 May, 2020, 1 new COVID-19 case confirmed ‬out of 2,729 samples of truck drivers.

The case is of a 39 year-old Kenyan male truck driver who arrived via Malaba.

Efforts to track him are underway.

A total of 201 samples from the community all tested Negative for COVID-19.

Total COVID-19 confirmed cases are 89.

The community case confirmed yesterday 02 May, from Rakai District has been evacuated to Masaka RRH and his family members are under quarantine.

Both Kenyan and Burundian truck drivers who were confirmed yesterday have also returned to their respective countries .

Total samples tested Sunday were 2,930.

Total discharges are 52.
