Covid19: boy aged 5 donates posho, Shs10,000

A five-year-old boy has donated 10kg of posho and Ugx 10,000 to Covid19 national taskforce.

Mulindwa Sulaiti also heeded to President Museveni’s call to support the COVID-19 response.

“The National Task Force appreciates your hands and kind gesture,” said Health ministry Permanent Secretary Diana Atwine while receiving the donation on Tuesday.

On behalf of the COVID-19 National Task Force, the Minister of Health, Jane Ruth Aceng received an assortment of donations comprising of medical supplies, food items and isolation tents to support the COVID-19 response in the country.

Absa Uganda donated isolation tents worth UGX 100,000,000 to support the COVID-19 response.

The Chinese Government donated the 1st batch of medical supplies including; N95 masks, surgical masks, disposable protective clothing, medical protective goggles, medical isolation covers among others to support the frontline health workers in the COVID-19 response.

PATH donated medical supplies worth UGX 27,700,000 for the frontline health workers in the COVID-19 response.

These items will be dispatched to various health facilities across the country.
