Gateway buses has supported the COVID-19 response with an addition of two buses.
Receiving the donation Wednesday, Permanent Secretary DianaAtwine said:
“This is a big boost. The buses will be used to transport health workers and people who need to be quarantined from borders to the quarantine centres”.
Atwine also received a donation of solar lighting worth UGX 380 M from Dembe Group of Companies/Imperial Hotels in support of the COVID-19 response.
This is meant to equip 20 health centres across the country with power in order to support operation.
State Minister for Health in charge of General Duties, Hon. Robinah Nabbanja received a donation of posho from Brian Mulondo and team for communities affected by the lock down following the COVID-19 outbreak.
Dr. Joseph Okware, Director in charge of Governance at the health ministry received a donation of 100 boxes of bar soap from Wells of Life (International NGO) to support the COVID-19 response in Uganda.
The State Minister for Health in charge of Primary Health Care, Moriku Joyce and State Minister for Tourism, Hon. Godfrey Kiwanda received 10,000 face masks and 25 temperature guns from Good Brothers International/Huaye International Logistics to support COVID-19 response.
AAR Healthcare have contributed 2,000 litres of liquid soap in support of the COVID-19 response in Uganda.
Smile Plast Ltd has donated 21 pieces of water tanks (250 litres each), 2,000 pieces of ball pens and 2 pieces of automatic sanitizer machines with sanitizers to support the COVID-19 response in Uganda.
