A Burundian national has died in Malawi after contracting coronavirus.
Malawi currently has 13 cases, zero recoveries and two deaths.
Minister of Health Jappie Mhango announced that the second victim is aged 44 and originally from Burundi but has a Canadian citizenship.
The man came into the country on March 28, 2020 from Canada.
He is a resident of Area 25B in Lilongwe.
He tested positive for Coronavirus on Good Friday and died on Saturday.
The patient had other underlying medical conditions. His wife has also tested positive for COVID-19.
There were three people in the household, one was manning their shop and is now on surveillance.
