First son Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba is at it again: this time he pities enemies who think they can defeat his father, Gen Museveni.
“General @KagutaMuseveni, the most successful revolutionary in African history,” Muhoozi tweeted Wednesday.
He added: “I pity those who think they can defeat him”.
He has been in the news, negatively, for attacking New Vision over a coronavirus story allegedly praising Rwanda.
The Senior Presidential Adviser for Special Operations in 2019 drew mixed reactions when he issued a warning saying “whoever plans to mess with Uganda will have a bad day”.
On October 14, 2019, he tweeted: “I can assure whoever even thinks of messing with Uganda will get a very bad day. Long live UPDF! Long live Ugandan Special Forces!”
The tweet was attached by photos of the UPDF officers in the bush showcasing what they can do best.
On March 20, 2020, he vowed to avenge former police spokesperson, AIGP Andrew Felix Kaweesi.
“It is 3 years since some criminals took your life my brother. We shall settle accounts with them no matter how long it takes!” he tweeted.
He added: “UPDF and UPF never forget those who attack us! Rest in Peace my brother.”
In February this year, Muhoozi vowed to defeat whoever attacks the empire that is Uganda.
“Whoever dares to attack Uganda will learn that they are dealing with an empire…and we shall defeat them,” he vowed in a tweet.
He then shared a video of the British army which he is proud to have trained with.
On Independence Day, he made a similar warning.
“Ugandan strong! I never used to believe it but Almighty God has made me a believer. Nobody can defeat Uganda! This is God’s country. Whoever dares will be crushed to dust! Ruhanga asiimwe. Happy Independence Day! God bless Uganda!!!” he tweeted on October 9, 2019.
Muhoozi was the commander of the Special Forces Group, which contains the unit known as Presidential Guard Brigade responsible for providing security to the President of Uganda and to Uganda’s constitutional monarchs, from 2008 to 2017.
The Special Forces Group is also responsible for providing security at Uganda’s oil installations.
He is the son of President Yoweri Museveni, Commander in Chief of the UPDF and president of Uganda.
