Presidential aspirant Lt Gen Henry Tumukunde was Friday morning taken back to his office and home in Kololo to help with investigations.
He spent the night at Special Investigations Unit in Kireka.
Police says Retired Lt. Gen. Henry Tumukunde was arrested on suspicion of treason.
Tumukunde was arrested last night in an operation led by Police CID Director Grace Akullo.
Police spokesperson Fred Enanga says Tumukunde’s arrest is related to utterances the presidential aspirant made in the media in recent days.
According to reports, Tumukunde’s son Philip Tumukunde, Tororo North MP Annet Nyakecho and other people were reportedly detained at the General’s Kololo home.
