Executive Director of UNAIDS, Winnie Byanyima, has been named in Forbes Africa Magazine’s “50 Most Powerful Women”.

Forbes Africa is the drama critic to business in Africa.

The magazine helps readers connect the dots, form patterns and see beyond the obvious, giving them a completely different perspective.

In doing this, it delivers sharp, in-depth and engaging stories by looking at global and domestic issues from an African prism.

Byanyima is on the cover of the March 2020 edition which features other phenomenal African women.

She is a wife to Uganda’s presidential candidate Kiiza Besigye, aeronautical engineer and a diplomat who has led many organisations like OXFAM.

She shares the limelight with South African Businesswoman Irene Charnley, Cameroonian Tech Entrepreneur Rebecca Enoncho and Media IT girl and entrepreneur, Bonang Matheba.

Graca Machel also graced the cover of the March issue with a first-of-its-kind Pan-African compilation of Africa’s 50 Most Powerful Women.
