Police impounds Besigye car, sieges Buikwe FDC offices

Police has impounded opposition figure Kizza Besigye’s vehicle Reg No. UAN 661V.

His aide, Ronald Muhinda, said the incident happened Monday afternoon near Ssezibwa River in Buikwe district.

“Police held hostage the driver Fred Kato,” Muhinda said.

According to him, two traffic police officers forced themselves into vehicle saying the Regional Traffic Police Commander wants it at the Head office in Kayunga district.


“When asked if the vehicle or driver have any traffic offense, the Traffic cop said they have instructions from Police Headquarters in Naguru to impound the vehicle.”

Besigye is supposed to be in Buikwe today.

Police has already deployed in Njeru to disperse FDC supporters waiting for Besigye.

Police also surrounded Buikwe FDC Office in Njeru Municipality.
