Rwanda crowns 2020 beauty queens

Miss Rwanda held its 2020 grand finale Saturday at Intare Conference Centre in the capital Kigali.

The overall beauty queen who top the top prize and crown was Nishimwe Naomie.

Contestant Umutesi Denise was crowned 2nd runner up.


She walked away with Rwf1.2 million as cash prize from Songa Logistics and becomes their brand ambassador.

Victoria University

Contestant Umwiza Phionah was crowned 1st runner up.


She walked away with Rwf1.2 million as cash prize from Multi Design Group Limited and becomes their brand ambassador.

Contestant Teta Ndenga Nicole was crowned Miss Heritage.


Contestant Ingabire Diane was crowned Miss Congeniality.


She was the friendliest contestant in the boot camp as determined by fellow contestants.

Contestant Irasubiza Alliance was crowned Miss Popularity.


She walks away with Rwf1.5 million as cash prize from MTN Rwanda and becomes the telecom’s Yolo campaign brand ambassador.

Also present at Grand Finale was Miss University Africa Burundi 2019, Uwimana Dative.

Other guests included; Miss Ghana 2019 Rebecca Kwabi, Miss Ghana 2nd runner up Deborah Opoku, Miss South Sudan 2019 Mariah Maget Nyayiena, Miss Botswana 2019 Oweditse Phirinyane, Miss Uganda 2019 Olivia Nakakande and Miss Tanzania Sylivia Sebastian.
