“It is especially beneficial at ambulatory point enhancing continuity of care. Internet-based access improves the ability to remotely access such data,” he said.

Burak Peri, an architect with the Beyel Group of Investment said that they are also willing to partner with the government to design, construct and renovate hospitals.

Kadaga welcomed the investment idea saying that there is great need to invest in improvement of the healthcare system in Uganda.

“I saw the issue of the aircraft ambulance; we always have difficulties in moving patients. That is one area that we would need to be supported,” she said.

Kadaga added that improved health services will address the challenge of referring patients to neighboring countries like Kenya.

She also interested the investors in forming a partnership with environmentalists to combat the effects of climate change.

“Ethiopia declared a decade of trees and was planting over 10 million trees every year. In 10 years, they had over 20 million new trees. I keep talking about this but it seems no one is interested. If you could partner with me, I think we could do very well,” she said.
