It is a dust-raising game of titans as top rally drivers vie for the top honour at the Mbarara Rally 2020.
Rajiv Ruparelia, the new kid on the block is up against senior seasoned drivers Ponsiano Lwakataka, Duncan Mubiru and Ronald Sebuguzi.
They already locked horns and gathered clouds of dust in the Rukaari-Lake Mburo race on Sunday.
These four are the favourites of the Lake Mburo Game Reserve 150km spread with five competitive sections.
David Nsobya, the clerk of the course, told Daily Monitor that all the five sections are 70 percent flat and expected to be fast.
Nsobya also warned fans to stay off the route and follow safety marshal instructions so that event is free of incidents.
Earlier in the week, Hussein Mukuye, the winning navigator for Hajji Omar Mayanja in Mitsubishi Evo X in 2017, predicted a fast and furious rally.
He pointed out drivers like Ponsiano Lwakataka (Subaru N12B) and Rajiv Ruparelia (VW Proto) are favourite for top honours.
He had earlier added Jas Mangat (Evo X) and Arthur Blick Jr (Evo X) in those poised to make wonders.
The event is sponsored by shell V-Power, Victoria University, Mwesigwa Resort, Asiatic sports and Fayzo Glass Mart.

Saturday saw the drivers race via Charles Muhangi – 14.75km and Super special stage 6.4km X2.
