After strenuous efforts, officials later managed to cut the cake and celebrate.

Police then cordoned off Muhanga Play Grounds where Party leaders had organised to host the district FDC Anniversary celebrations.

On Saturday, FDC said police confiscated tents and chairs in Kireku Village near Namanve where FDC structures had organised a Celebration for winning LC 1 seats in Kiira-Municipality Wakiso district.

Police raided the place and took away the Chairs, Tents, and Public address system as they (Police) told Mr. Hamid Kagezi the host LC 1 Chairman for Kireku Village that they (Police) had intelligence information that he had invited area MP Hon. Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda and Dr. Besigye to conduct a parallel activity in Kireku in a bid to foil the Museveni Namboole meeting.

Mr. Hamid had earlier written to Police informing them of this Party activity in the area but the OC Kiira after initially okaying it has today referred the organisers to the IGP.

Residents disobeyed the unlawful orders of Police, remained firm and were later joined by the area MP Hon. Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda for their Celebrations.
