A Ugandan national, was on Saturday night shot and killed at Kumugu Trading Centre, Musanze District in Rwanda.
Teojen Ndagijimana, 26, resident of Kabingo Village Chahafi parish Murora Sub-county in Kisoro District, was killed only three kilometres from the Ugandan border.
Hadard Nkunzimana, the sub-county chairperson, told Daily Monitor the deceased as who was shot together his Rwandan cousins Erike Biizimana and Emmanuel Mbabazi.
The cousins had crossed into Uganda to visit their relatives in Kabingo village through the ungazzeted border entry of Kabingo Trading Centre.
On return, Ndagijimana opted to escort them only to be shot dead by Rwandan security officials.
Rwanda police accused the trio of smuggling bales of second-hand clothes from Uganda to Rwanda.
Teojen Ndagijimana is the fourth Ugandan to be short and killed by Rwandan security operatives across the border.
