First female Vice President, Dr Specioza Wandira Kazibwe, on Saturday laid to rest her son John William Bomboka Kazibwe at her Kayebe home in Gayaza, Wakiso District.
The burial was conducted by Curious Funeral Services which said on its Facebook page that the family was in mourning and in grief.
“May the Angels receive you with open arms brother. RIP.”
Bomboka, the last born, reportedly drowned in a swimming pool while visiting his elder sister Carol in Nairobi, Kenya on Thursday.
He had just completed his Primary Seven [P.7] at Nagarama Primary School and was waiting for his PLE results which came out on Friday.
His body arrived at Entebbe airport on Friday ahead of the Saturday burial.
Specioza Naigaga Wandira Kazibwe, is a Ugandan surgeon and politician.
She is also referred to as “Nnalongo”, because of her twin daughters.
She was Vice President of Uganda from 1994 to 2003.
She was the first woman in Africa to hold the position of vice-president of a sovereign nation.
