On Friday afternoon, Rwanda Investigations Bureau [RIB], paraded the self-styled “Captain” Herman Nsengimana, spokesperson of National Liberation Front [FLN] rebels, before the media.
Nsegimana replaced Callixte Nsabimana as a spokesperson of a terror group FLN.
He was brought alongside Theobald Mutarambirwa, former Secretary General of PS Imberakuri.
Nsengimana and Mutarambirwa were arrested on December 16, 2019.
RIB Spokesperson, Marie Michelle Umuhoza, told media that Nsengimana and Mutarambirwa are being accused of several crimes including terrorism, formation of an irregular armed group, genocide denial, and murder, among others.
While Nsengimana is a member of FLN, Mutarambirwa belonged to another terror organisation, the P5.
They were arrested by the Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo (FARDC) during the recent crackdown on terror groups operating in Eastern DR Congo.
FLN terror group was founded by Paul Rusesabagina and Faustin Twagiramungu, while a report by the UN Group of Experts linked “P5” terror organisation to Kayumba Nyamwasa, a Rwandan fugitive.
