President Museveni has Thursday evening arrived at Birembo in Kibaale district which is also the destination of his 100km walk.
The trekkers who include bazukulu, wellwishers and veterans this evening concluded their journey that kicked off last week.
Today’s walk was 14km from Kasambya to Birembo.
“Approaching Bireembo which will be our final stop. I thank especially the Bazukulu, who have been able to keep up from Galamba where we started this very symbolic trek,” the excited old man with a hat said.
Since Saturday the President has been walking in a bid to retrace the routes used in the liberation struggle from 1981 to 1986.
The president will tomorrow, Friday address a very large gathering at the Birembo grounds.
Hundreds of youth, veterans and well wishers covered a total of 195Kms from Galamba in Wakiso District to Bireembo in Kibaale District.
