Police on Monday morning blocked People Power leader Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine from consulting in Kyadondo East and arrested him.

Bobi Wine’s social media administrator said the legislator was first detained at Kasangati Police Station in Kasangati town council, Wakiso district.

“Despite complying with all lawful requirements, the police and military have blocked the first consultative meeting for the 2021 Presidential election,” said Bobi’s social media handler.

Also the area Member of Parliament, Bobi Wine was supposed hold a consultative meeting at Our Lady of Good Counsel Secondary School, Gayaza in Kyadondo East.

Police surrounded the venue, fired teargas and live bullets to disrupt a  consultative meeting before arresting the MP and People Power leaders.

The move, however, was met with resistance from supporters who decided to protest the police action.

His handler in the afternoon said “afraid of the growing protests in Kasangati, police is driving Bobi and other leaders at breakneck speed to Nagalama.”
