Rema kwanjula: few celebs, few cameras, no villagers

Singer Rema Namakula is introducing her love doctor Hamza Ssebunya today in Nabbingo along Masaka Road.

Dr Hamzah Ssebunya was earlier captured leaving Kabira Country Club and ready for the ceremony.

Hamza’s entourage

Each person that is to escort him has a card that indicates the number of people it can permit in at the ceremony.

Dr. Hamzah Sebunya’s entourage came with a truck of bread which he served to the villagers in Nabbingo.

He also splashed out some money to the gathering of people on the road.

Leaked photos showed personalised presents for the kwanjula. The decor theme is black and white.

No card, no entry

Entrance to the ceremony is strictly by card. A card permits only the invited person.

Unless indicated, a card only permits the person who appears on it.

Villagers unhappy

According to the programme, the villagers will have to watch the ceremony on TV as most them were not invited.

They are only watching from the sidelines. Some of them spoke to Spark TV’s Mr Mosh and complained of being sidelined.

Only three cameras have been permitted. Cars are not allowed at the venue.

Not every media house has been invited. The ceremony only gave permission to three.

The security is tight and some army officers have been seen outside the perimeter fence.
