The People’s Government launched the petition signing at Plot 6 Katonga road Nakasero Kampala on 12th- 11-2019 at 11 am.
By the close of the day, about 1000 people had signed the petition at the Katonga road offices. The Citizens Change Bureau published the petition online.

A team of 50 people was dispatched to collect signatures across Kampala.
This team will move in markets, streets, offices, churches, universities, homes, police posts etc with petition forms for people to sign.
“Always move with your National ID NIN/number, driving permit number or passport number to fill the form wherever this team meets you,” the statement said.
The People’s National Assembly representatives have already dispatched to their respective constituencies to spearhead the petition signing campaign and collect signatures.
The People’s District Assemblies under the leadership of the People’s District Commissioners and Assembly leaders are spearheading the petition signing at their respective districts.
By the close of the day, 43 districts had already received their petition signing materials and another 57 had already placed orders through their District representatives, materials will by tomorrow have reached all the districts.
A National team will be moving across the country to sensitise the citizenry about crimes against humanity and how they should defend themselves by signing this petition and conducting other lawful peaceful activities.
By Wednesday afternoon, the online petition https://www.change.org/p/uganda-people-s-petition-to-the-international-criminal-court-icc had already garnered 2,000 signatures.
