Rwampara County MP Hon Charles Ngabirano is recovering and now an outpatient, according to parliament.
Speaker Rebecca Kadaga had the opportunity to visit Hon. Charles Ngabirano at Nakasero Hospital where he has been since his referral from Mbarara Hospital.
“It was a pleasure to see him smile. Very grateful for the care and support from the medical team and his family,” Kadaga said.
She was looking forward to seeing Hon Ngabirano return to work after his recovery so that apart from representing his constituency.
He also picks up the campaign for coffee growing as well as “greening” of Rwampara which he has been engaged in.
Ngabirano was admitted in a critical condition following a road accident on Mbarara-Kabale Road at the close of last month.
His Political Assistant and brother, Stephen Bebuuze, said the accident happened in Rukyekye, about six kilometres from Mbarara town.
The MP was heading to Rwampara district headquarters for the swearing in ceremony of the interim political leaders when his single cabin Land Cruiser lost control and over turned.
He sustained four fractured ribs.
The other two occupants of the vehicle; Wareen Rugogamu and the driver only identified as Mr Kaconco escaped with minor injuries.
