South Sudanese were on Tuesday morning taken by surprise when a Nigerian AirForce jet flew in Temitope Balogun Joshua, commonly referred to as T. B. Joshua – a Nigerian pastor, televangelist and philanthropist.
Senior Prophet TB Joshua in his prophetic message at the Presidential Palace in Juba today called on the South Sudan’s leaders to overcome their differences for peace to prevail.
Nigerian-born self-proclaimed prophet arrived in Juba this morning and was received by President Salva Kiir Mayardit and senior government officials at the Juba International Airport.
Addressing a gathering at J1 this afternoon, TB Joshua said he accepted the invitation by President Kiir to come and pray for peace and deliver a prophetic message to the nation.
“Time has come for us to overcome our divisions, for us to put aside behind us our differences. There is no more time for us. God wants to move the nation forward,” Joshua repeated this message time and again.
He called on political stakeholders to put aside their difference for the common interest of South Sudanese.
He appealed to the government to make peace prevail in the country so that south Sudanese in the diaspora can come back to South Sudan and develop the country.
He also added that “This country is going to enter a new year, a new beginning.”
The popular televangelist also said South Sudanese are scattered all over the world yet their country is endowed with plenty of natural resources.
“As I traveled the world I have discovered that people from South Sudan are all over the world. There is no country on this earth you will not find South Sudanese. They are intelligent, hardworking ambitious people. Our leaders should overcome their divisions and allow them to come back to develop their fatherland,” he added.
The prophet further said God has his plan for the nation and it will come to fruition.
“Next month we talk of December, new year. This country is going to enter New Year whether you like it or not, whether I like it or not. Your agreement does not matter to what God is about to do. You cannot stand in the way of the Lord,” he prophesied.
Temitope Balogun Joshua also known as T. B. Joshua is a Nigerian pastor, televangelist, and philanthropist. He founded The Synagogue, Church of All Nations, and owns the Christian television network Emmanuel TV.
South Sudan descended into civil wars shortly after it gained independence in 2011, killing about 400,000 people and displacing more than 4 million South Sudanese.
TB Joshua gained prominence in South Sudan for his prophecy of a failed coup attempt against President Salva Kiir before the conflict erupted in 2013.
