YMCA Comprehensive Institute has appointed musician Eddy Kenzo as its Go Green Campaign ambassador in its bid to preserve the environment.

Kenzo was at the Buwambo based campus in Gayaza, Wakiso district on Thursday as the chief tree planter Thursday.

“It was a great honour to share time off my usual work and Grace the Go Green campaign at YMCA Comprehensive Institute (Buwambo Campus),” Kenzo said.

On being appointed the Go Green University ambassador, Kenzo thanked the principal Dr Herbert Mukasa and the Guild President Wesonga Norah for the invitation and recognition.

“The care of the Earth is our most ancient and most worthy, and after all, our most pleasing responsibility,” he quoted Wendell Berry, American novelist, poet, essayist, environmental activist, cultural critic, and farmer.

Kenzo’s message:

If you’re often disappointed by others, you have to learn to manage your expectations. Why do we expect so much from others while expecting so little of ourselves.

Have confidence in yourself and your abilities. The Almighty has blessed you with a lot. Use the blessings wisely.

Everything that happens in your life happens for a reason. It’s part of your story. It was written for you. What’s this life but a series of tests.

Take it as a lesson & move on. Sometimes you’ll be knocked down but you must quickly get up. Brace yourself for the journey ahead.

We hate delays. We want things to happen when we want them. But the truth is, behind every delay, there’s some goodness. Don’t regard every delay as negative. Remember, the Almighty knows what we don’t. There’s always some hidden good why certain things happen the way they do.
