The ruling National Resistance Movement [NRM] has launched a new pressure group titled Generation Seven [G7] to tackle People Power Movement youth.
G7 is a pressure group composed of youths born after 1986 [better known as Museveni Generation] with an objective to economically empower their peers in the country.
The new NRM youth pressure group, according to critics, was formed to counter People Power ahead of the 2021 general elections.
After the launch, the youth moved from NRM electoral Commission offices matching on different streets in Kampala dressed in yellow colour attires.
According to NRM spokesman Rogers Mulindwa, the government pledged to help them achieve their mission.
Members of the Generation Seven Youth (G7), a pressure group, Thursday afternoon paid a courtesy call to the Party Director of Finance & Administration, Dr Hassan Galiwango at the party offices in Kampala.
The youths who were led by their spokesperson Stephen Mukasa, applauded the party Secretariat for the work done towards uplifting the party structures in the country.
They pledged their continued support to the party and in all its upcoming activities.
The group prides itself in the achievements gained by the NRM government.
Party leaders say the group has been formed to appreciate the good work President Museveni has done in their generation such as roads, security, education to mention but a few.
