Makerere University College of Education and External Studies has organised the Second Professor Kajubi Memorial Lecture.
George William Senteza Kajubi, BA, Dip.Ed, MSc, ScD, (24 December 1926 – 1 May 2012) was a university administrator, academic, and community leader in Uganda, the third-largest economy in the East African Community.
His memorial lecture is scheduled for Thursday, 14 November 2019 at the Central Teaching Facility II (CTF II) Makerere University.
The Professor William Senteza Kajubi Memorial Lecture was initiated by the College of Education and External Studies in 2015 to honour the life and work of the late Professor William Senteza Kajubi.
The objectives of the Prof. W.S.K. Memorial Lecture include: to recognise the great contributions of Professor William Senteza Kajubi in the development of education in Uganda and to provide a platform for educationists and other academicians to share experiences with decision makers and other stakeholders on various education issues as an avenue to streamline the education sector in Uganda as well as inform policy
The keynote lecture will be delivered by Rev Canon Dr. John Senyonyi, the Vice Chancellor of Uganda Christian University under the theme, “Fostering the Quality of Education in Uganda”.
Invited guests include; university staff and students, other educationists, development partners, civil society and the general public.
