Leone Island singing doctor Joseph Mayanja aka Jose Chameleone has denied a Shs11m debt being demanded by a mechanic attached to Kasim Auto Spare parts.
The mechanic told Spark TV that he repaired Chameleone’s Escalade car but never received payment.
The car reportedly needed a new gearbox, computer and programming systems, fuel nozzle, plugs as well as vehicle interior.
When the car was repaired, Chameleone allegedly refused to pay.
“My cars are every expensive, I have a Benz, BMW, Escalade. These cars can’t leave this place without their documents,” Chameleone said, denying ever giving his car to anyone for repairs.
“I have one mechanic I trust and is in charge of all my vehicle needs. So I don’t know that person claiming they demand Shs11m.”
Chameleone said he was aware people are going to bring up so many things because of who he is now in politics.
“I am not broke as people put it out there. You can see it for yourselves. I bought new lights from the USA for the escalade. With all the 8 cars I drive whichever car I want. Otherwise, if I had 8 hands I would drive all of them,” he is quoted by NilePost as saying.
Chameleone says that he doesn’t know the man and therefore there is no way he allowed him to touch his car.
The man has however promised to bring out all the evidence to show that Chameleone is a liar.
In the beginning as young people, I strived for Fame, Money, Cars and all that comes with it. Thinking that was important That was just age making its desires and I have know with time that it all fades and leaves no trail just like many other important people in society with same thought have faded and little of them can be remembered.
In the new age, I have learnt so many things with time.
There forth, The 20 years of peoples loyalty and support is reason enough that I stand and believe that we need a better way for all of us not just the chosen ones by one of us!!!!!
Uganda has a general POVERTY problem!!
That’s why they are going to buy you with gifts and prizes that overwhelm you but make you a slave to their opinions. After so many years they now want to share??? Do they really want to? Or it’s the pressure we have asserted this time round? They will only buy the moment NOT the time. Why have they made us beggars where we are able to work and benefit from our own hands?
REALITY – We need a way forward for even the greater generation ahead of us.
Now they want to hug everyone of us? Really??
Stay confident, Many of us still believe and stand together in pursuit of CHANGE!!
The world is watching.
