State House impersonator jailed 2 years

The suspect

Okiror Wilbert Ekire alias Okiru Wilbert has Friday been convicted and sentenced to serve two years imprisonment.

He was found masquerading as an officer of Anti-Corruption Unit of State House in Soroti town.

He is charged with for impersonation, forgery and uttering false documents.

On the same day, court remanded Napak District Chief Administrative Officer [CAO] Mbagwa Abdulnoor M to Luzira prison.

Mbagwa (formerly of Alebtong), was arrested by Anti-Graft Unit detectives for abuse of office and causing financial loss to government.

This followed a warrant of arrest issued by the Anti-Corruption Court.
