NRM National Treasurer Hon Rose Namayanja has reiterated the parents’ role in their continuous support towards the children’s education.
“The schools play a good role but the cardinal responsibility is for the parents to ensure that the children attain education, ” Namayanja said.
She has been officiating at the album launch for Trust Primary School -Bulenga Ssumbwe along Mityana road. The launch was intended to raise resources to start vocational training at the school.
She also spoke at length about discipline as a driving engine towards success in education.
The Treasurer General re-emphasised the commitment of the NRM government in providing free education at both primary and secondary levels. She thanked the school administration for complementing government efforts of skilling Ugandans under the Business, Technical and Vocational Education Training (BTVET).
UGX 11.2M raised
Hon Namayanja bought a CD at Shs2m in support of the initiative.
The School Director Semanda Moses commended Namayanja for sparing time to attend the launch.
A total of UGX 11,250,000 was realised both in cash and pledges.
