Museveni in Juba for peace talks


President Yoweri Museveni Monday travelled to the South Sudan capital Juba, to join regional leaders in their quest to chart out the way forward to achieve total peace in Sudan.

“I am off to Juba, South Sudan, to join other regional leaders and heads of governments in solidarity with the ongoing peacebuilding negotiations in Sudan,” Museveni said.

The Prime Minister of Ethiopia, Abiy Ahmed who is also the current chairperson of IGAD and also the main broker of the peace deal in Sudan is present at the event.

Sudanese parties including the Revolutionary Front represented by Dr El-Hadi Idris Mustafa and the SPLM North represented by Gen. Abdalla Aziz Adam El Hilu are also present.
