A bus travelling to Gulu town has Saturday afternoon overturned near Migyera town in Nakasongola district.
According to reports, the incident happened at around 2:30 pm.
Nabaasa Justus Sande, one of the passengers said the bus, Opit Travellers, threw them but did not report any casualities.
“Banange God is great we have narrowly escaped death when the bus of Opit travellers have overturned hence throwing us away….just 800meters from migeera town..along Kampala Gulu highway…#Gid have mercy…,” Sande said.
edge.ug contacted police spokesperson Fred Enanga who directed us to the traffic spokesperson.
ACP Charles Ssebambulidde, road traffic directorate spokesman, told us he was upcountry and had not been fully briefed on the matter.
“I heard about it but am now travelling from the village. I heard some people were injured but no one died,” ACP Ssebambulidde told edge.ug.
