Unknown people attacked and crucified a man for allegedly supporting National Resistance Movement (NRM) party.

Baker Kasumba, resident of Avis Kivvulu, Kawempe Division was cornered along Northern bypass flyover in Kalerwe while returning from work.

The attackers quickly drove 6-inch nails in his hands with a hammer accusing him of wearing a yellow beret, the colour for the ruling party.

The incident happened just a few metres from Kibe police post where Kasumba later recorded a statement.

He was saved by two women who set an alarm, shooing away the attackers.

Luke Owoyesigyire, the Deputy Kampala Metropolitan police spokesperson, says police is hunting for the suspects.

Kasumba is now undergoing treatment at Mulago National Referral hospital.
