Jamaican reggae and dance hall stars Christopher Martin and D-Major have arrived in Uganda ahead of the Bell All-Star concert slated this Friday 23rd- August at Lugogo Cricket Oval.

The stars touched down at Entebbe airport Wednesday evening.

Francis Kirabira, Bell lager brand manager, told media that Christopher Martin and D-Major are artistes enjoying massive airplay within the reggae arena and Bell lager is beyond excited to bring this musical experience to Uganda.

Christopher Martin is known for songs like “Cheater’s Prayer”, “Let Her Go”, “I’m A Big Deal” while while D-Major is known for “Deal Is Done”, “Its On The Way” etc.

Tickets go for Shs 25,000 general and Shs80,000 VIP.

Local singers who will perform at the concert include; Fik Fameica, Spice Diana, Beenie Gunter, Vinka, John Blaq, Nina Roz, Sheebah Karungi and Winnie Nwagi.

Ugandan women most beautiful?

This will be Martin’s second time in Uganda and will be performing alongside compatriot D Major.

When asked by journalist Steven Odeke what Ugandans have in common with Jamaicans, Martin said music.

“They love music, you know. Ugandans love music, they love to have a good time. There are beautiful women in Uganda, just as there are in Jamaica, you understand, and that’s always a plus.”

H added: “We have a very unique kind of culture that we kinda share. Same love for music, respect for people, you know, respect for all living things, so that’s what I would say we have in common.”

He told Steven Odeke that Uganda has beautiful women just as Jamaica: “There are beautiful women in Uganda, just as there are in Jamaica, you understand, and that’s always a plus.”
