Police stormed offices of the Democratic Party youth wing, the Uganda Young Democrats (UYD) and took “Rest in Peace” T-shirts honouring the death of Yasin Kawuma.
Kawuma, the driver of Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine, who was killed in Arua on August 13, 2018 during Arua by-elections.
UYD administrator, Isaac Maddo, told journalists in Kampala that police raided their offices along Johnson Street and arrested four of their members.
They are; John Mary Sebuufu, Moses Kataabu, Fulugensio Musoke and Erisa Kaddu.
They were preparing to go for the funeral prayers of the late Kawuma in Lusanja on Gayaza Road in Wakiso District.
The police then seized about 300 T-shirts claiming the words inscribed on them were inciting violence.
According to Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Patrick Onyango, some people printing T-shirts with inciting messages hence they took some people to Central Police Station for questioning.
He identified them as Erisa Kaddu Erisa and Fulugensio Musoke.
