La Cabana scoops Kampala Restaurant Week award

Ruparelia Group’s La Cabana Restaurant on Monday scooped the “Top Signature Restaurant” award for the second year running.

Located at Speke Apartments, Wampewo Ave, Kampala, La Cabana is a multi-cuisine bar and restaurant serving Brazilian, Continental and Indian cuisines.

This year’s fifth edition of Kampala Restaurant Week’s awards ceremony was held at Skyz Hotel, Naguru.

The 10-day [August 1-10] food bonanza that was supported by Tusker Lite was graced by thousands of food lovers who were treated to a variety of meals offered by 40 participating restaurants at affordable prices.

Dubbed the ‘Three Course Edition’, restaurants served starters, main course signature dishes and desserts with a cold Tusker beer.

Izumi Restaurant walked away with the ‘Innovation Award’ for their Thai Massaman Curry, Cantine Divino with the ‘Outstanding Service Award’ and Olives Restaurant with the ‘Top Casual Dining Restaurant Award.’

Speaking at the event, Cathy Twesigye, Tusker Lite’s Brand Manager, said the brand was delighted to have been a part of the fine dining experience that the Kampala Restaurant Week is.

“It has been a deliciously unforgettable experience. Thanks to the participating restaurants, you are all winners,” she noted.
