The Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Namibia, Netumbo Nandi- Ndaitwah, visited President Museveni in Kisozi over the weekend.
She delivered a special message from H.E President Hage Gottfried Geingob.
“No country can become prosperous alone. We need each other. We have agreed to sign MoUs on trade and diplomatic relations to cement our already existing historical ties,” Museveni said.
“Like me, Ms. Netumbo is a cattle keeper in Namibia, I took her and delegation for a tour to Kisozi farm.”
President also received a special message from his Angola counterpart President Joao Manuel Goncalves Lourenco.
The Angolan Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Manuel Domingos Augusto, delivered the message to the President at State House, Entebbe.
President Museveni and the visiting Angolan Minister exchanged views of historical nature in the political, socio-economic and revolutionary experiences that the two sister countries, Uganda and Angola went through to achieve their independence.
Bayport financial services
President Museveni also received and held a meeting with the executive officials of Bayport Financial Services Limited at State House, Entebbe with whom he discussed the contributions that the company has rendered to Uganda in the micro-finance services sector in the past 15 years.
The President assured the officials who included Bayport Uganda CEO Allan Ochaka, the Group Chief Operations Officer, Bryan Arlow among others, that Uganda is a free economy but cautioned the officials to be greatly mindful about importation of legitimate products into the country.
