The Uganda National Oil Company, also known as the National Oil Company of Uganda, has unveiled Ms. Proscovia Nabbanja as its Acting Chief Executive Officer [CEO].
This follows the resignation of Dr. Josephine Wapakabulo effective August 13th.
Ms Nabbanja is a Geologist with 19 years’ experience in the Oil & Gas industry and has been the Chief Operating Officer – Upstream UNOC for the last 3 years.
After three years in office, UNOC’s outgoing CEO Dr. Eng. Josephine Wapakabulo highlighted her first task, as Chairman BOD shared the task of selecting her as first employee.
The Uganda National Oil Company, also known as the National Oil Company of Uganda, is a limited liability petroleum company in Uganda and owned by the Ugandan government.
The 2013 Petroleum Act of Uganda provides for the establishment of the national oil company.
Its mission is to drive sustainable growth of the oil and gas sector through strategic partnerships and championing national participation.
